Inter Pipeline Fund (“Inter Pipeline”) (TSX:IPL.UN) announced today that it has agreed to issue $500 million of senior unsecured medium-term notes in the Canadian public debt market. The notes will have a fixed interest rate of 3.448% per annum, payable semi-annually and will mature on July 20, 2020.
The offering is expected to close on or about July 19, 2013, subject to customary closing conditions. Net proceeds of the offering will be used to repay a portion of Inter Pipeline’s existing bank indebtedness. Following completion of this note offering, Inter Pipeline will have over $850 million of available capacity on its $1.25 billion revolving credit facility.
Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services and DBRS Limited have assigned preliminary credit ratings of BBB+ and BBB (high), respectively, to the notes.
The notes are being offered through a syndicate of agents co-led by CIBC World Markets Inc., RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities Inc. under Inter Pipeline’s short form base shelf prospectus dated November 30, 2012, a related prospectus supplement dated July 16, 2013 and a related pricing supplement to be dated July 16, 2013.
