Canadian oil and gas companies added rigs for a 4th straight week as winter drilling continues.
Currently, western Canada has 234 rigs working. Up 4 from last week.
The recent rise in drilling in western Canada has occurred in conjunction with a significant rise in oil prices after an OPEC-announced production cut.
Rig counts are up by nearly 60 rigs year over year, but still significantly lower than normal: 2 years ago, over 400 were drilling.
