DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Whiting Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: WLL) announced today that it closed the previously announced sale of its Fort Berthold Indian Reservation area assets located in Dunn and McLean Counties, North Dakota. The purchase price was $500 million, subject to closing and post-closing adjustments. The Company used the proceeds from the sale to pay $500 million down on its revolver.
