Canada Weekly Rig Count Up 12 to 172
Western Canada’s fleet of drilling rigs went up from 160 to 172 according to data collected by Baker Hughes for the week of June 29. From one week ago, Alberta rig counts increased from 103 to 112. U.S. crude-by-rail shipments fell by 27,000 bpd in April-EIA
U.S. shipments of crude oil via rail in April fell by 27,000 barrels per day (bpd) from the previous month to 408,000 bpd,according to data released Friday by the U.S. Energy Information Administration. (Reuters) - U.S. energy companies this week cut oil rigs for a second straight week, and notched the first monthly fall since March. Drillers cut four oil rigs in the week to June 29, bringing the total count down to 858, General Electric Co’s Baker Hughes energy services firm said in its closely followed report on Friday.
