CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – March 4, 2014) – Donnycreek Energy Inc. (“Donnycreek” or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE:DCK) provides an operations update for its activities in the Wapiti area.

1-26 Wapiti Completion Operations

Completion operations on the Company’s Wapiti 01-26-64-8 W6M horizontal middle Montney exploration well (75% WI) (the “1-26 Well“) have been temporarily suspended following a successful hydraulic stimulation of 15 stages in the horizontal section of the well.

During the flow back clean up of the completion fluids used to stimulate the well, hydrogen sulphide in the reservoir natural gas of approximately 8% was measured exceeding concentration levels allowed under the current flaring permit requiring the 1-26 Well to be shut in. The Company will resume flow rate testing the 1-26 Well following regulatory approval to flare the reservoir natural gas, most likely following the spring break up period.

Donnycreek holds a 75% operated working interest in 328 gross (246 net) sections of Montney petroleum and natural gas rights at Wapiti.

Donnycreek is a Calgary based public oil and gas company which holds approximately 438 gross (313 net) sections of petroleum and natural gas rights, with an average working interest of approximately 70%, prospective primarily for Montney liquid rich natural gas resource development all of which are located in the Deep Basin area of west-central Alberta.
