Ivanhoe Energy Board Announcement

CALGARY, Aug. 7, 2014 /CNW/ – Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (TSX: IE; NASDAQ: IVAN) today reported the resignation of Mr. Alexander Molyneux from the Company’s Board of Directors, effective August 2, 2014, in order to devote time to manage his other commitments. Mr. Molyneux has served on the Company’s Board of Directors since May 2010.

The Board of Directors and the Management of the Company thank Alex for his dedication and contribution over the last four years and wish him success in his other business endeavors.

The Board seat will not be filled since the Company considers a seven-member Board aligns with its current size, needs and strategy.
