Seven Generations Energy Ltd. Announces Executive Changes

CALGARY, March 24, 2015 /CNW/ – Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (“7G” or the “Company”) (TSX: VII) announced today that Mr. Harry Cupric will be resigning as Chief Financial Officer effective March 31, 2015. Pat Carlson, CEO said, “We are very grateful to Harry for his formative contribution to the Company, especially the diligence and professionalism displayed in taking us from a private company with just a few wells to a large publicly traded company. Harry’s effective style made an important imprint on 7G’s corporate culture.”

Effective upon Harry’s departure, Mr. Chris Law, currently Vice President of Corporate Planning, will be promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Chris has been with the Company since 2008 and has managed all of the bank and high yield debt and equity financings that the Company has done since 2011, including the IPO, raising a total of nearly three billion dollars. Chris has over a decade of industry experience with diverse roles in finance/treasury, corporate planning and corporate development and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with distinction) from the University of Victoria and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Corporate Strategy from the University of Calgary. In his new role, 7G’s finance, accounting, information technology and investor relations functions will report to Chris.

Mr. Kevin Johnston, Vice President of Accounting, will report to Chris. Kevin recently left his role as Manager, Consolidated Reporting at a competitor to join 7G. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. Kevin is a Chartered Accountant and was awarded the Governor General’s Gold Medal for the highest standing in Canada for the CICA Uniform Final Evaluation (UFE) exam in 2005. Including his time at a large international accounting and audit firm, Kevin brings over a decade of accounting experience in the energy industry. Kevin will have general leadership responsibilities for the accounting and financial controls functions within the Company.

Also joining 7G recently was Mr. Kyle Brunner, Corporate Counsel. Kyle left his role as Legal Counsel at a competitor to join 7G. Kyle has a Juris Doctor Degree from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta and the Canadian Bar Association. After graduating law school, Kyle articled and was an associate lawyer at Stikeman Elliott LLP where he worked with Mr. Leland Corbett, the Company’s Corporate Secretary. Lee has provided legal services to the Company since its inception and will continue to serve as the Company’s Corporate Secretary. Kyle reports to Pat Carlson.
