CALGARY, April 22, 2015 /CNW/ – Marquee Energy Ltd. (“Marquee” or the “Company“) (TSXV: MQL) is pleased to announce the appointment of KPMG LLP (“KPMG“) as its auditor, replacing Collins Barrow Calgary LLP (“Collins Barrow“). The Company’s Board of Directors and its Audit Committee approved the appointment of KPMG, accepted the resignation of Collins Barrow and reviewed all of the documents related to the change of auditor. Collins Barrow resigned as auditor at Marquee’s request and there were no reservations in the auditor’s report by Collins Barrow, in respect to the Company’s financial statements for the two most recently completed financial years. To the knowledge of the Company, there was no “reportable event”, as such term is defined in National Instrument 51-102 — Continuous Disclosure Obligations, during the two most recently completed financial years.
In accordance with all regulatory requirements, the Notice of Change of Auditor, together with the required letters from Collins Barrow and KPMG, will be filed on SEDAR.
Shareholders of Marquee will be asked to vote on the appointment of KPMG as auditor at the Company’s upcoming annual general meeting held on May 27, 2015 (the “Meeting“). Formal notice of the Meeting, the Company’s proxy statement and information circular will be delivered to shareholders and filed publicly, in accordance with applicable regulations, in the coming weeks.
