TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – Sept. 1, 2015) – Enbridge Gas Distribution is conducting planned maintenance in Markham and plans to safely release controlled amounts of natural gas for a short period of time on Tuesday September 1, 2015 – weather permitting.
People in the area of Alden Road and Bentley Street in Markham may notice the smell and sound of natural gas venting as it is released in a safe and controlled manner.
Natural gas is being released to bring a new piece of pipeline into service. This new pipeline is a part of the GTA Project. Controlled natural gas releases are a requirement for this work.
Although the procedure is designed to be safe, those nearby may find the smell or noise unpleasant and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
