Harper calls out Federal and Alberta NDP during leaders debate, calls for lower taxes to help oil industry

During Thursday night’s Federal debate, Prime Minister Stephen Harper called out the federal and provincial NDP’s harsh policies towards western Canada’s oil industry.

He slammed both NDPs’ plans to sharply increase taxes on Alberta’s struggling oil and gas industry and called for lower taxes to spur economic growth and job creation.

Justin Trudeau didn’t chime in too much on NDP policy, although he did make mention that PM Harper has turned the oilsands into ‘a pariah’.
