Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. Announces New Managing Directors

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (TPH&Co.), an energy-focused investment and merchant bank headquartered in Houston, announced today that it has elected two individuals to join the firm’s Managing Directors as of January 1, 2016. The following individuals have been promoted to Managing Director:

Travis W. Nichols – Houston, Investment Banking

Scott L. Simmons – Houston, Investment Banking

Biographies

Travis W. Nichols

Travis Nichols now serves as a Managing Director in Investment Banking focusing on the upstream sector and assisting clients in connection with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and raising capital, with a particular focus on the Permian Basin. Nichols joined TPH in January 2011 and was previously a regional planning advisor and business unit coordinator at ExxonMobil Upstream Ventures. Nichols began his career in the United States Army serving as a Captain with the 911th Engineer Company and a First Lieutenant with the Second Engineer Battalion. Nichols holds a BS and Masters in Science from Pennsylvania State University, an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.

Scott L. Simmons

Scott Simmons now serves as a Managing Director in Investment Banking. In his eight years with TPH, he has advised on more than $65 billion of M&A transactions across the energy sector. Simmons leads TPH’s special committee and fairness opinion practice and is a member of the infrastructure team focusing primarily on M&A advisory in the MLP space. Simmons began his banking career at JPMorgan serving in corporate and investment banking. Following his time at JPMorgan, he co-founded Progression, Inc., an instrumentation company serving the chemical industry. Early in his career, Simmons worked as an engineer at Exxon Chemical Company and holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Tulane University.
