Last week’s Saskatchewan Crown oil and gas mineral rights land sale earned $5.11 million for the province. A total of 62 crown leases consisting of 11.5 thousand hectares of land was auctioned off. The average price paid was $443.63 per hectare.  That compares to an average of just $116.57 per hectare paid in Alberta just a week earlier.

The largest bid for a single parcel was $1.037 million which was paid for one section in the Souris Valley, west of Estevan by an anonymous bidder.
