Alberta Earns $6.12 Million in Wednesday’s Land Sale

The April 6, 2016 Alberta Landsale results are in and the total proceeds were $6,125,049.49 for 83 parcels.  This was the 6th sale of 2016 and while the total is lower than the last sale, March 23, it is slightly above the average so far this year of $5.73 million.

The chart below illustrates the trend of sale results so far this year.

The total area of the 83 parcels was 66.1 thousand hectares and the average sale price was $92.62 per hectare, compared to $99.52 per hectare on March 23.

A total of 41 separate companies participated and the largest non anonymous bidder was Tourmaline Oil Corp. who paid an average of $69.29/hectare to acquire 1 section in the Medicine Lodge area of West Central Alberta and 3 sections of land in the Silver Valley are of North West Alberta.
