Frac Shack International (FSI) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Mobile Elevating Platform (MEP) division of Rigless Rentals Inc. These remarkable units will be rebranded The Wellevator™.

In addition to the 21 patented Wellevators, Mr. Dean Zipse and Mr. Ryan Smith of Rigless Rentals (Rigless) will join the leadership team at Frac Shack International.  Mr. Bob Outhwaite will join the Board of Directors for Frac Shack Inc., the parent company.

As the patent holders of their unique wellhead access equipment, Wellevators provide a safer, more efficient method of accessing the wellhead while at height.   There are 3 iterations of their Wellevator design – “The Gen 1”, “Mini Gen 1” and the deluxe “Gen 2” which allows for dual hydraulic level access with unprecedented maneuverability.

Todd Van Vliet, president of Frac Shack International (FSI) notes: “The MEP division of Rigless Rentals has established itself in the wellhead height solutions market as a leader in this space and we feel there are a number of positive business synergies which will benefit both the new lift and height division of FSI and our existing Frac Shack™ business model.  Furthermore, the executive team of Rigless brings a wealth of experience which will add value to our team and offer access to a broader base of clientele and market penetration as we continue to grow our current product lines”.

Frac Shack International and Frac Shack America operate a fleet of specialized automated refueling units for frac operations which utilize their patented Frac Shack™ technology.  With a strong presence in both Canada and the USA, Frac Shack Inc. views this acquisition as a catalyst for future growth opportunities.

Bob Outhwaite, President of Rigless Rentals believes this is a strong choice for the team given the difficulties faced over the previous 2 years in the Western Canadian Basin.  “Our aggressive growth model, which saw 16 new platforms added over 3 years from 2011-2014 was hampered by this last downturn.  We have successfully navigated a very difficult period, and are now happy to have found a partnership with FSI that will allow us to continue that growth model and resume our plans to further develop innovative lift and height equipment”.

Dean Zipse, Executive VP with Rigless echoed Bob Outhwaite’s sentiments: “We see a unique opportunity to grow our client base and expand this technology in partnership with Frac Shack.  Further to that, we see exciting growth opportunities in the USA and abroad as we develop other Frac’ing related support solutions”.

Frac Shack is currently in the process of rebranding the MEP units and has trademarked the name Wellevator™ in Canada and the United States. This new brand will be introduced to the market over the next several weeks.

Rigless Rentals Inc. will remain active in the western market and will continue to offer its drilling related product lines.
