Western Canada’s fleet of drilling rigs decreased to 201 actively drilling rigs according to data collected by Baker Hughes for the week of September 1.
From one week ago, Alberta rig counts decreased to 130 rigs from 144, the Saskatchewan rig count increased to 39 from 38.
Oil drilling decreased to 102 rigs from 115; gas rigs decreased from 102 to 99.
