CALGARY, May 31, 2018 /CNW/ – Gear Energy Ltd. (“Gear” or the “Company”) (TSX: GXE) is pleased to announce that effective June 1, 2018, Ms. Bindu Wyma has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Gear and will also serve on the Company’s Reserves Committee.
Ms. Wyma has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in acquisitions and divestitures underpinned by a background in reservoir engineering and reserves evaluation. During a 20 year career at Talisman Energy Inc., she held positions of increasing responsibility, ultimately assuming the position of Vice President of Business Development for North America from 2011- 2015. She has a proven track record of successful A&D transactions that were strategic to Talisman’s North American portfolio. She previously held positions with AJM Petroleum Consultants, Encor Energy and the National Energy Board. Ms. Wyma holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
