Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday announced plans for a new oil pipeline from Alberta to the Pacific coast that will be constructed by Trans Mountain Corp in coordination with Pembina Pipeline Corp.
Carney made the announcement in Calgary alongside Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, whose government said in a statement that construction of the new pipeline would commence as early as September 1, 2027.
