Energy Navigator unveils Val Nav 2016 Engineering and Reserves Software

June 29, 20164:13 AM BOE Report Staff

Productivity and data integrity gains, plus unlimited support and training, will help companies work more effectively despite down-sizing.

Calgary, AB, Canada, June 28, 2016 – Oil and gas software maker Energy Navigator has announced the release of Val Nav 2016, the latest update of Canada’s most widely used and reliable engineering and reserves software system. Vastly enhanced data management capabilities in Val Nav 2016 deliver unprecedented efficiency and productivity gains that will help E&P companies to bridge the personnel gap caused by industry downsizing. At the same time, new data editing and auditing features will ensure energy companies have far greater insight into their reserves and more data confidence compared to other systems.

With more than 60 user-requested enhancements, plus major new features like an easy Spreadsheet Import tool and comprehensive Data View grid, Val Nav 2016 allows users to import more data, understand their data better, identify errors and gaps, and edit with ease.

“We’re confident that Val Nav 2016 will deliver more benefits, for more users, than any Val Nav release in recent history”, said Cameron Zawalykut, Val Nav Product Manager. “The new release will allow our users to see the data they want, how they need to see it. The new Data View feature gives users all their relevant data in a single view for complete data validation, comprehension and discovery. The new Spreadsheet Import feature lets companies build, update and manage their data more easily than ever before. We’re confident that this will be a real game changer in terms of how companies take advantage of their data when making their forecasting, economics, and reserves evaluation decisions”.

Val Nav 2016 provides the vision to see more data, more clearly, and in more ways, giving producers the power to get more done with fewer resources. For more information on the release, visit www.energynavigator.com/valnav2016
