The total number of users that visited the BOE Report for July was 205,010(a 571% increase year over year). A large part of the jump in traffic was due to more and more people in the United States visiting the site. With total US users amounting to 69,259 for the month of July, The BOE Report is seeing consistent growth south of the border.
The site’s traffic experienced an increase as a result of users becoming more comfortable using and aware of the many tools and data sources the site offers. The launch of the BOE Report M&A Database also contributed to an increase in traffic. The Well Activity Map also recently saw the addition of Ohio and Mississippi to complement the many other states already present on the map.
Approximately 55% of the website’s traffic for the month of July came from Alberta. The core userbase is in downtown Calgary where ~45,000 oil and gas industry workers visit the site multiple times each month. 40% of the BOE Report’s United States users reside in Texas, 2/3rds of which are in Houston or Dallas-Ft. Worth areas.
Going forward, the BOE Report plans include growing our product offerings and information and to stay timely as the go-to place for oil and gas news.
