Cardinal Energy Ltd. Announces Management Changes

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 09, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cardinal Energy Ltd. (“Cardinal” or the “Company“) (TSX:CJ) of Calgary, Alberta announces the departure of  Mr. Shane Peet  President of Cardinal effective immediately. Mr. Scott Ratushny, Cardinal’s CEO will resume the title of President, a position he held until May 11, 2015. Mr. Peet has been with Cardinal since its inception and the management, staff and directors of Cardinal thank him for his valuable contributions to the Company during this period.

Cardinal also announces that Mr. Robert Wollmann will be joining the Company as Senior Vice President, Exploration effective November 15, 2017. Mr. Wollmann has over 30 years of geotechnical, executive and governance experience, contributing to the growth and management of multiple producers. Mr. Wollmann obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University in 1986. Mr. Wollmann brings a track record of deploying the most effective and efficient exploitation approaches across the western Canadian sedimentary basin and has the experience to help unlock the upside potential in Cardinal’s conventional oil assets.

Mr. Dale Orton, B.Eng., P.Eng has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Cardinal. Mr. Orton has been a Vice President with Cardinal since December 1, 2016 and was previously Senior Vice President of Development of a mid-cap oil and gas company. Mr. Orton has in excess of 20 years of experience in numerous aspects of the oil and gas industry focusing on reservoir exploitation, business development, and operations, within both large and junior public oil and gas companies.

Cardinal announces that Mr. Jason Laforge, has been promoted to Vice President, Central for Cardinal. Mr. Laforge has been with Cardinal since September, 2014 and has been area manager of the Central area which encompasses our Wainwright and Chauvin operating assets.

Cardinal looks forward to having Mr. Wollmann join their executive management team which, following Mr. Wollmann’s appointment consists of.
