(“Strategic” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:SOG) announces that the Company has completed the first closing of its previously announced Private Placements. Pursuant to the Private Placements, the Company has issued 82,582,800 common shares (the “Common Shares”) at a price of $0.50 per Common Share, for aggregate gross proceeds of $41,291,400. The securities issued pursuant to this portion of the private placement are subject to trading restrictions to July 25, 2014.
