June 11th Alberta Crown Land Sale totals $7.2 MM – Low land spending continues, allowing operators to look for hidden gems

The Alberta Government brought in $7.2 MM on its June 11th Crown land sale.

In total, 22,016 hectares were sold at an average price of $328.09/ha.

This land sale continues the trend of smaller bonus values that we have been seeing for most of 2025. As we wrote about two weeks ago, cumulative dollar totals are tracking 57% below 2024 levels.

The largest dollar bonus was for a 4,352 hectares (17 sections) parcel of land west of Edmonton where the Niton and Carrot Creek fields meet. This parcel of land (pictured below in Figure 1) fetched a total dollar bonus of $1,559,931 and went to a land broker. The rights were PNG BELOW THE BASE OF THE MANNVILLE GRP TO BASEMENT and PNG BELOW THE BASE OF THE ROCK CREEK MBR TO BASEMENT.
