CALGARY , May 8, 2013 /CNW/ – Longview Oil Corp. (“Longview” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce that Mr. Lionel Derochie has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Operations effective May 1 , 2013. Mr. Derochie has over 30 years of experience in the Western Canadian oil & gas industry with a focus on reservoir engineering, production and enhanced oil recovery operations. He is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and spent the first 20 years of his career with Amoco Canada. His responsibilities at Amoco included the supervision of multi-disciplinary property management teams with an emphasis on enhanced oil recovery projects throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. During that time Lionel received comprehensive petrophysics training at the Amoco Research Centre in Tulsa , Oklahoma. Following Amoco, Lionel held senior business development engineering positions with Petrorep Resources, Northrock Resources and Ketch Resources where he developed a strong background in mergers and acquisitions and where he had a direct hand in securing a number of corporate transactions. Lionel has been with Advantage since 2005 and prior to this appointment, he held the position of Chief Engineer.
