CALGARY, June 10, 2013 /CNW/ – Whitecap Resources Inc. (TSX: WCP) is pleased to announce that Ken Stickland has been appointed to the Whitecap Board of Directors effective June 10, 2013 and will also serve as a member of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Stickland is currently the Chief Business Development Officer of TransAlta Corporation. Prior to joining TransAlta inJanuary 2001, Mr. Stickland was a partner with the Calgary law firm of Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP where he practiced in the energy area for 20 years. Mr. Stickland holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Law degree from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Stickland is and has been a director of various professional associations and not-for-profit organizations. He has also been a director of several publicly listed companies and is currently the lead director at Trinidad Drilling Ltd.
