Huntington Announces Appointment of New CFO and New Board Member

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – Oct. 11, 2013) – Huntington Exploration Inc. (“HEI” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE:HEI) is pleased to announce that Ms. Sharon Evans, CGA has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of HEI. In addition, Robert V. Shields has been appointed to the Board of Directors of HEI, as an independent director.

The officers of the Corporation are now: Robert Verhelst – President and CEO; Sharon Evans – CFO; and J. Timothy Bowes – Vice-President, Land and Business Development and Corporate Secretary. The Board of Directors of the Corporation will now consist of Robert Verhelst, Michael Binnion, J. Timothy Bowes and Robert V. Shields.

Ms. Evans received her Certified General Accountant designation in 1991 and has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining the Corporation, Ms. Evans worked at Thiessen & Company for over 18 years, consulting for a variety of oil and gas companies.

Mr. Shields is a professional engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the petroleum industry. Mr. Shields is currently the President, CEO and a director of publicly traded Marauder Resources East Coast Inc. His early years of employment were with major oil and gas companies including; Pacific Petroleums Ltd, PetroCanada Corporation, Occidental International and ICG Resources Ltd. Mr. Shields has managed oil and gas operations in Libya, Philippines, Brunei (offshore), Continental USA, Western Canada and the Canadian Arctic.
