Canada’s Plan for Responsible Resource Development Supports British Columbia’s Energy and Mineral Potential

VANCOUVER, March 30, 2015 /CNW/ – The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, will deliver keynote remarks at an event hosted by the Vancouver Board of Trade. Canada’s plan for Responsible Resource Development is supporting jobs, protecting the environment and enhancing First Nations engagement.

Minister Rickford will highlight recent measures announced by the Government of Canada, including proposals to enhance the Accelerated Capital Cost Allowance for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) projects, extend the Mineral Exploration Tax Credit and introduce changes to the Canadian Exploration Expenses (CEE) deduction.

These recent substantial announcements build on our government’s low-tax plan for jobs and growth, strengthening the already robust case for resource investment in Canada. In partnership with British Columbia, the Government of Canada is supporting trade and the responsible development of LNG infrastructure.
