PrairieSky Royalty Appoints Chief Financial Officer

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – April 22, 2015) – James Estey, Chair of the Board of PrairieSky Royalty Ltd. (“PrairieSky“) (TSX:PSK) and Andrew Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer, are pleased to announce that PrairieSky has hired Pam Kazeil as the company’s Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Effective June 1, 2015, Ms. Kazeil will be a member of the company’s executive leadership team and have overall responsibility for the financial management of PrairieSky.

“Pam is an accomplished executive with significant leadership and business experience, including proven ability as a successful CFO, and will be a tremendous addition to our team,” said Andrew Phillips, President and Chief Executive Officer and James Estey, Board Chair of PrairieSky. “We believe Pam possesses the right blend of financial and business expertise required to help PrairieSky execute its core strategy while continuing our commitment to financial discipline.”

Ms. Kazeil brings extensive executive leadership experience to PrairieSky in finance and operations in the oil and gas industry. Ms. Kazeil is currently the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of an oil and gas corporation with extensive upstream oil and gas operations in Western Canada and over $10 billion in assets. Ms. Kazeil’s experience includes serving as Vice President, Finance of Daylight Energy Ltd. from 2008 to 2011, and prior thereto Ms. Kazeil held increasingly senior finance roles with Sword Energy Ltd. and its predecessor Thunder Energy Trust from 2004 to 2008, including as Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Kazeil started her accounting career at KPMG LLP in 2001. Ms. Kazeil is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Ms. Kazeil is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Wood’s Homes Foundation, which supports the mission and values of Wood’s Homes, a multi-service, non-profit children’s mental health centre providing services for 20,000 children and their families each year in Calgary, Lethbridge, Canmore, Strathmore, Fort McMurray and Fort Smith, N.W.T.
