ORLEN Upstream Canada Ltd. Announces the Appointment of a New President

CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – June 1, 2015) – ORLEN Upstream Canada Ltd. (“ORLEN Upstream Canada” or the “Company”) announces the appointment of Matthew J. Rees as President of the Company effective June 1, 2015.

The Board of Directors and Management of ORLEN Upstream Canada wish to thank Mr. Andrew Z. Wiacek for his contribution to the development of the Company.

Mr. Rees is a Professional Engineer with extensive experience in Western Canadian and International onshore & offshore operations. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from University of Victoria and a Masters in Business Administration, from University of Calgary. Mr. Rees has a broad range of experience including Reservoir and Production Engineering, Business Development, Commercial Transactions and Corporate Planning in Canada, Latin America and the United Kingdom. Most recently Mr. Rees was involved in Talisman – Sinopec’s North Sea operations. ORLEN Upstream Canada plans to expand its Canadian and International oil and gas operations and Mr. Rees will play a key role in executing the Company’s growth strategy.

ORLEN Upstream Canada, a wholly owned subsidiary of ORLEN Upstream Ltd. and a part of the ORLEN Group, employs 35 employees. ORLEN Upstream currently operates oil and gas production and assets in Poland and Canada and plans to expand it’s existing asset base and Internationally through strategic acquisitions.
