FORT WORTH, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Summer NAPE returns to Houston August 19-20, for its annual expo at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The expo includes the NAPE Business Conference, on Wednesday, Aug. 19, which features three education sessions as well as a luncheon presentation. The conference is accredited for four CPL, RPL and RL continuing education credits.
The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. with a presentation by Arthur Gelber, president of Gelber & Associates Corp./Gelber Energy LLC. He will be discussing crude oil and natural gas pricing expectations and their impact on capital availability through 2020. Jim Manatt, Jr., Chairman/CEO of Thrust Energy, Inc., will present the 9:30 morning session and will speak on finding something new and valuable in a world of challenging industry economics and mindsets. At 10:30 a.m., Gelber and Manatt will host a panel discussion be moderated by Christina Kitchens, EVP, managing group director, CTB Energy Finance.
Keynote speaker Bruce Vincent will speak at the Business Conference Luncheon at 11:35 a.m. Vincent helped kick-start the first annual NAPE Expo by participating on the first NAPE Advisory Board in 1993. He is the past president, executive committee member and board member of Swift Energy Company. He was employed at Swift Energy for 25 years. Vincent is a former chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) and was named Chief Roughneck for 2013 by U. S. Steel Tubular Products. He is also past chairman of IPAA’s Oil & Gas Investment Symposium (OGIS), NAPE (2002) and the Investment Program Association. He is currently a member of the board of the National Petroleum Council and the Natural Gas Council.
The conference concludes at 1:00 p.m., allowing attendees to immediately attend Summer NAPE as the expo floor opens at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19 – a new start time this year.
