Albert Johnson Joins Navigator Energy Services as Vice President of Business Development

July 21, 20157:15 AM Business Wire

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Navigator Energy Services, LLC (Navigator), a full-service midstream provider, today announced the addition of Albert Johnson to its senior leadership team as vice president of business development. An energy industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, Johnson will assist in leading Navigator’s business development efforts, including the development of corporate growth strategy and structure, commercial activities and product scheduling.

“Albert’s proven track record executing high quality projects, leadership abilities, reputation and broad experience base make him a valuable addition to Navigator’s leadership team,” said Matt Vining, chief commercial officer. “As we continue to grow and strengthen our platform of services, Albert represents the type of leadership that is instrumental in allowing us to provide our customers with advanced, innovative midstream solutions. He has extensive experience in the Midland Basin region and has already begun to work seamlessly with our customers in the area. We are excited about what Albert brings to the table and the opportunities that lie ahead within the Permian Basin, and beyond.”

Johnson has most recently been working with customers of Navigator’s Big Spring Gateway Pipeline, a more than 400-mile crude oil gathering and transmission system serving the Midland Basin region. The system, which is currently under construction, spans Martin, Glasscock, Howard and Midland counties in Texas and provides approximately 160,000 barrels per day of throughput capacity, up to 450,000 barrels of crude oil storage and access to four markets via major interconnects. Navigator anticipates initial service on the Big Spring Gateway Pipeline system will begin in September 2015.

Albert Johnson, Vice President of Business Development

Prior to Navigator, Johnson served as director of business development for Sunoco Logistics Partners LP, where he was responsible for business development and asset management activities across the company’s pipeline system related to the marketing, gathering and mainline transportation of crude oil. During his five years with Sunoco, Johnson participated in or led contract negotiations resulting in pipeline and terminal projects totaling more than $3 billion. Prior to Sunoco, Johnson spent 10 years with Phillips 66 and ConocoPhillips in various roles in terminal and refinery operations.

Johnson has served on the board of directors of West Texas Gulf Pipe Line Company as well as the management committee for SunVit Pipeline LLC. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on finance from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University.
