2015 Summer NAPE Registrations, Exhibitors On Pace With Prior Years Despite Industry Downturn

August 12, 201512:41 PM Business Wire

FORT WORTH, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The downturn in America’s oil and gas industry has not affected Summer NAPE 2015, the nation’s largest oil and gas prospect expo. Today, NAPE organizers announced that attendee and exhibitor registrations for Summer NAPE 2015 are on pace with those from Summer NAPE 2014. Summer NAPE 2015 will take place Aug. 19-20, 2015 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.

“NAPE is beneficial in up as well as down markets because it builds attendees’ businesses,” said Jeanine Haller Piskurich, Chair of the NAPE Operators Committee. “The American Association of American Landmen (AAPL) founded NAPE in a down market to boost U.S. exploration and production by better connecting prospects and investors, and we’re proud to see that premise hold true more than two decades later.”

At the current pace of registration, Summer NAPE 2015 is projected to draw nearly 5,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors – the same projections as last year’s conference. Together with NAPE Summit, which took place in February, Summer NAPE 2015 is expected to contribute more than $22 million to the Houston economy in 2015.

NAPE is the oil and gas industry’s marketplace for the buying, selling and trading of prospects and producing properties. At three expos throughout the year, NAPE creates an environment where attendees can have an expectation of doing business, bringing together all the necessary parties to evaluate, fund and make deals.

Summer NAPE 2015 will include the NAPE Business Conference on Aug. 19. Speakers include Arthur Gelber, president of Gelber & Associates Corp./Gelber Energy LLC; Jim Manatt, Jr., Chairman/CEO of Thrust Energy, Inc.; and Bruce Vincent, past president, executive committee member and board member for Swift Energy Company. For more information on Summer NAPE or the Business Conference – including a full schedule and list of speakers – please visit www.napeexpo.com.
