Canada’s number one source for oil and gas news and information is launching into the United States. Barely three years old, BOE has experienced rapid growth in the Canadian market and will be looking to implement the same business model South of the border.

The BOE Report reaches roughly 40,000 Canadian oil and gas professionals on a monthly basis. For the United States version, the content will be US energy industry focused and will be, like BOE Canada, offered for free. On the website’s homepage, users regardless of their location, can visit both Canadian content and United States content.

News & Well Activity Map

Specifically, BOE will be publishing articles that cover operational and financial news for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry both (onshore/Gulf of Mexico). In addition, there will be frequent analysis on energy commodity prices, government policy affecting the industry, and breaking news coverage of the most impactful stories concerning the energy sector.

BOE also provides a unique data service that visually displays on a map where wells have been drilled since January of 2012. The Canadian version has Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba populated on the map. The US version includes Texas, California, Oklahoma, Alaska, Gulf Coast, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, Utah, Montana, and Nebraska.

Rig Activity & Storage Report

For those that are curious to keep tabs on the rig activity of both Canada and the US, BOE has you covered. Using data supplied by Baker Hughes, BOE updates Canada’s total rig count as well as US rig count by type (directional/horizontal) and by state on a weekly basis. For the Canadian rig count, BOE also provides monthly drilling and service rig counts courtesy the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors.

BOE also provides users the ability to check out natural gas and petroleum inventory storage data presented graphically as well as in a table form. Courtesy of the US Energy Information Agency, storage report data is updated on a weekly basis to reflect as closely as possible these key industry metrics.

Property Listings & Jobs

As part of the data that BOE provides for free is property listings of asset divestitures and minor interests in producing plays. For the United States, the listings come from a variety of different sources that make sure to stay abreast with latest and most current offerings on the market.

BOE provides users with the ability to also search for jobs that are posted on a continual basis by companies that are looking to fill key positions. The job board is free for companies to post jobs as well.

Unites States Market

Overall, BOE Report will look to replicate in the United States the success that the service has enjoyed in Canada. Like in Canada, the BOE Report will remain free and easy to use. Users can sign up for the popular daily digest email that sends out every Monday through Saturday (8AM Mountain time/9AM Central time) a list of the latest news to hit the industry.

BOE is also featured on social media sites such as Facebook, Linkedin, Google+, and Twitter.

We encourage users to pass on the BOE Report to anyone who could use BOE in the USA.
