Together, Let's Hit a Home Run! – Irving Oil and Circle K are Joining Forces to Help Athletes Fulfill Their Dreams

September 10, 20157:54 AM PR Newswire

PORTSMOUTH, NH, Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ – Irving Oil and Circle K are teaming up to support New England's Special Olympics athletes through their Fueling Dreams program. Since the partnership with Special Olympics began 16 years ago, Fueling Dreams has raised more than $3.2 Million for athletic programs.

“We value our relationship with Special Olympics in New England,” says Sarah Irving, Executive Vice President and Brand Officer of Irving Oil.  “Irving Oil is proud to support Special Olympics athletes and the programs that foster their training.  We wish the athletes the very best and look forward to sharing in the pride of their accomplishments.”

Irving Oil and Circle K fundraise, in part, through the sale of window decals at Irving Oil branded fueling locations throughout New England. More than $340,000 has already been raised this summer by Circle K and the decals will continue to be sold at Irving Oil sites until October 6.
On Saturday, September 12, local law enforcement officers will team up with Special Olympics athletes for To Serve and Protect Day. Officers and athletes will spend the day pumping gas and washing windows at participating Irving Oil and Circle K locations throughout New England to raise even more funds and to raise awareness for Special Olympics.

“Our enduring partnership with Irving Oil and Circle K allows us to increase awareness surrounding our movement and gives us the opportunity to continue to grow our programs for our athletes,” said Mary Conroy, President of Special Olympics New Hampshire.

Irving Oil and Circle K have set a fundraising goal of $500,000 – all of which will go toward Special Olympics programming throughout New England.
