Ontario's leading electric and gas utilities host successful Energy Into Action event

Toronto Hydro helps educate businesses on how to save on energy

TORONTO, Oct. 9, 2015 /CNW/ – More than 530 business owners and operators from across Ontario gathered in Mississauga yesterday for the Energy Into Action event, where they heard leading energy experts and suppliers talk about energy-efficient programs and new technologies that can benefit a company's bottom line.

The one-day information and networking event, presented by some of Ontario's leading electric and gas utilities, connected participants with professionals experienced with incentive programs and tools that companies can implement to improve their energy-efficiency. 

A series of nine breakout sessions focused on topics such as compressed air, operational savings, process cooling, cogeneration, LED lighting and HVAC systems. Participants also had an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and a wide-range of exhibitors.

Energy Into Action is made possible through the Independent Electricity System Operator's (IESO) Collaboration Fund and was presented by: Burlington Hydro, Enbridge Gas Distribution, Enersource, Halton Hills Hydro, Horizon Utilities Corporation, Hydro One Networks Inc., Hydro One Brampton, Milton Hydro, Oakville Hydro, PowerStream, Toronto Hydro, Union Gas and Veridian.
