Atmos Energy Corporation Promotes Kelli Martin to Vice President of Workforce Development

DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Atmos Energy Corporation announced today the promotion of Kelli Martin, who is currently the Director of Technical Training, to a newly-created position of Vice President of Workforce Development, effective October 15, 2015.

In this new role, Martin will have responsibility for Atmos Energy’s employee development and training for the Customer Service Organization; she will have continued responsibility for technical training.

“As we continue to make our already safe system even safer, while at the same time delivering “Best in Class” customer service to our customers, the training and development needs of our employees must continue to be a top priority,” said Marvin Sweetin, Atmos Energy senior vice president of safety and utility services. “We believe these changes announced today will better position us to accomplish these goals.”

Martin joined Atmos Energy in April, 2009 as Manager of Technical Training Delivery. She was named Director of Technical Training in November, 2010. Prior to joining Atmos Energy, she held leadership roles at Microsoft, Alcatel and Gabberts.

Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from SMU, and a master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies in Organizational Behavior from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a native Texan and lives with her husband, John, in Richardson.
