Over 600,000 users visited the BOE Report in 2015

January 1, 20161:00 AM BOE Report Staff

During the industry’s toughest year in a decade, people from across Canada and the United States could not consume enough timely information on the state of the business. The BOE Report became a go-to site for oil and gas news, activity and information in 2016. By year-end, over 600,000 users visited BOEReport.com and viewed over 3.7 million pages.

The site’s traffic spiked in May during the Alberta provincial election as several articles were shared heavily through social media. The website’s core userbase grew significantly towards the end of 2015 reaching over 80,000 monthly users in September, October, November and December.

Approximately 70% of the website’s traffic comes from Alberta. The core userbase is in downtown Calgary where 40,000 oil and gas industry workers visit the site multiple times each month. The site also has a large following of approximately ~5,000 users in Edmonton, 4,000 users in Houston and over 2,000 users in each of: Dallas, Denver, New York, Toronto and Vancouver.

Our plans include growing our product offerings and information and to stay timely as the go-to place for oil and gas news.
