BOEReport.com is pleased to be an Official Media Partner for this year’s Global Petroleum Show.

“With extensive real-time news and information on the energy industry and interactive drilling maps and property listings, BOEreport.com allows our event exhibitors, attendees, and partners to stay up to date on a variety of relevant topics to help their business maximize opportunities in the current economic climate,” says Aaron Wilson, Senior Marketing Manager for dmg :: events global energy.

The Global Petroleum Show, taking place June 7-9 At Calgary’s Stampede Park is a trade show, conference and industry meeting place for education and networking all in one venue.

“If you are currently involved or have professional experience within any stream of the energy industry, you need to attend GPS16,” says Bruce Carew, Event Director for Global Petroleum Show and VP of Energy for dmg :: events global energy.

GPS a is staple event for anyone involved in the energy industry, and has been for many years. GPS has taken place every other year from 1968 to 2014, and since then, has been an annual event.

This year, there is over half a million square feet of exhibition space. Attendees can participate in free educational seminars, networking events, and experience an expanded focus on international oil and gas markets.

There are also a number of new zones and pavilions that will be on the exhibition floor. “The changing energy landscape has created opportunities for us to expand some areas that allow us to service our exhibitors and attendees better,” says Carew.

The past year has been a tough one economically for oil and gas companies. But it is precisely in times like these that attending GPS is worthwhile.

“The people that have helped build and drive the industry need to embrace every opportunity to network and expand their business,” says Carew, adding “attendees will learn about new technology and cost savings initiatives that are at the forefront of every one’s business goals. The show changes every year, and there is always something new that can be applied to a personal experience and businesses methodology.”

What’s more, attendance for this year’s GPS is expected to be up from last year.

“Our tracking is slightly ahead of last year attendance (50,000 attendees in 2015). We expect to have 1,500 exhibitors who are going to create business opportunities,” says Carew.

Registration is now open for the show, and free for a limited time. For more information on all that is offered during the three day event, click here.

“GPS16 is one of the most diverse yet,” says Carew. “We are showcasing the companies by providing a venue and format to help the industry re-define itself and align to the energy industries new norm. It’s resources like BOEreport.com that strengthen and support the North American energy marketplace, and we are glad to have them sponsor our event!”
