May 11, 20161:31 AM BOE Report Staff

Calgary, AB, Canada, May 11, 2016 – Oil and gas software maker Energy Navigator is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rod Sidle as Industry Advisor – Reserves Management. Mr. Sidle brings to Energy Navigator and its clients vast experience in U.S. and international reservoir engineering and economics with a focus on reserves estimation. Mr. Sidle’s subject matter expertise will support continued growth of Val Nav®, Energy Navigator’s cross-functional software system that drives productivity in production forecasting, economics, risk analysis, reserves, reporting and support for SOX compliance in oil and gas portfolio management.

“This is another significant addition to the already-impressive bench strength of Energy Navigator’s industry advisory team,” said company President, Boyd Russell. “I believe it says a lot about the quality of our product that industry-recognized reserves estimation experts like Rod, as well as academic experts like Dr. John Lee, want to be involved with Val Nav and to contribute to making it even better. If anyone could see the potential strength of Val Nav for U.S. and international E&P reserves estimation, it would be Rod.”

Rod Sidle is an independent consultant to oil and gas clients as well as an active member of the professional societies, SPE and SPEE. His industry experience includes some 35 years with Royal Dutch Shell, Shell Oil Company (USA) and subsidiaries, where he held various management and engineering positions including Manager of Reserves Technology and Manager of Oil and Gas Reserves with Shell E&P Co., and Senior Reserves Consultant with Shell International E&P. Since Shell, Mr. Sidle has worked as Director – Reserves for Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation, Reserves Manager for Sheridan Production Company LLC, and Lecturer in Petroleum Project Evaluation at Texas A&M University.
