geoLOGIC systems is proud to collaborate with Drill Stem Test expert and hydrodynamacist Richard Bartlett to offer free-of-charge training sessions focused on understanding Drill Stem Test’s and their application to petroleum hydrodynamics. Other applications will be addressed.
This hands-on session will cover the digital application of Drill Stem Tests; their purpose and uses for petroleum exploration and exploitation as demonstrated using the DST Pro module within geoSCOUT.
Drill Stem Tests allow for the discovery of potential by-pass sites and the recognition of how a reservoir will behave. They also give a clear projection of pressures and permeability, what type of fluids are present and allow for a base show map to be established.
About the Instructor:
Richard has over 37 years of practical experience in DST interpretations and petroleum hydrodynamics. He has interpreted over 200,000 DSTs and has conducted various hydrodynamic evaluations in Canada and the United States. These evaluations have led to the discovery and longevity of multiple oil and gas pools. Through his successful application of DSTs and hydrodynamics, he is widely regarded as a leading expert on hydrogeologic reservoirs and reservoir characterisation through pressure analysis.
