HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:OXY) announced today that it will relocate its Investor Relations office from New York to its Houston headquarters and that Richard A. Jackson has been appointed Vice President, Investor Relations.
Mr. Jackson joined Occidental in 2003 from ExxonMobil. He has held key leadership roles with increasing levels of responsibility in Qatar, the Permian Basin, South Texas and Worldwide Drilling and Completions. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering.
“Richard’s combined experience in Occidental’s Permian Resources and international oil and gas operations will provide greater depth and insight into the synergies between our financial, operational and technical performance, elevating our level of communication with the investment community,” said Vicki Hollub, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Additionally, Anthony J. Cottone, previously Director – Investor Relations, has been promoted to Senior Director and will focus on further enhancing Occidental’s relationships with securities analysts and institutional shareholders. Mr. Cottone joined Occidental in 2012 from the Macquarie Group, where he held several financial and marketing roles. A graduate of Emory University, Mr. Cottone holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University.
