Pro Trans Mountain rallies planned later today in Calgary and Thursday in Edmonton

April 10, 20182:01 PM BOE Report Staff

Later today (4pm) there will be a rally at Calgary’s McDougall Centre. A large group of grassroots supporters will be in attendance asking the federal government to follow through on their promises to get the Trans Mountain pipeline built. On Thursday, a similar rally will be held in front of the Alberta Legislature in Edmonton. See details below:

Rally details for Calgary (McDougall Centre):

Where: 455 6 St SW, Calgary, AB, Calgary, AB

When: Tuesday, April 10, 2018 (TODAY) at 4:00 pm

Rally details for Edmonton (Alberta Legislature)

Where: Alberta Legislature Building (10800 97 Ave NW)

When: April 12, 2018 from 4pm – 6pm

According to Canada Action a leading proponent of the rally, “it’s time for the majority of Canadians who do support these projects and who do respect the rule of law to speak up and be heard. More than 40 First Nations support the pipeline. Global oil demand is growing. We all win when Canada’s resource sector is strong. The only winner of blocking these pipelines is other oil producing countries with weaker environmental standards.”
