Western Divestments has been retained by Double Knot Energy Ltd. (DKE) to sell the shares of the company. DKE has 100% working interest in 7,040 acres of land (11 sections) and an override in 6 sections with various P&NG rights in the Lone Pine Creek area of South-Central Alberta.
The company owns a 10 to 13% gross overriding royalty on six wells currently producing gas from the Viking Formation. There is a total of 3,840 acres (6 sections) of land associated with the GORR. Income averages $2400 per month.
The 1986 Caroline Swan Hills discovery renewed exploration for additional, potential oil-bearing build ups in the Southern Alberta extension of the Swan Hills fairway. Double Knot Energy Ltd. completed regional geologic and geophysical mapping for the purpose of understanding the Southern Alberta distribution of the Beaverhill Lake Group, Swan Hills Formation carbonate reservoirs.
Recent technical work by the DKE team included detailed geologic mapping, re-examination of well cuttings and well log data combined with a detailed geophysical investigation southeast of the Caroline pool in the Lone Pine Creek area.
