Most of us can think of a number of things we don’t do anymore in daily life because of new technology. One that comes to mind is “Doing math calculations in your head”. We have had calculators for a long time now, but we now carry smartphones which can do calculations whenever we want. There is now an app called PhotoMath that can solve equations just by taking a picture with a smartphone’s camera.

Technological innovations surround us every day and we are feeling waves of impact in the Oil and Gas Industry. Dave Howden, Director of Business Development at Red Dog Systems Inc. recently described his company’s approach to  technological innovations related to Joint Venture processes in the Oil and Gas Industry.

“We’re always looking for ways to help clients and industry improve productivity.  We follow technology trends, always looking to add useful, new technologies to our tool kit.  We have regular interaction with our clients through their daily operations and periodically with client volunteers through our focus groups.  Inspiration comes from all these sources and we follow it up with our clients individually (e.g. bots) and through the focus groups.  We then work with individual clients and focus groups to properly identify the problems we’re trying to solve, to assess the best approach to solve them and to ensure we get it right when we build it.”

Catch a luncheon presentation about new technologies in the Energy Industry and Joint Venture billing titled   “New technology – BOTS, AI, Smart Contracts. Revolutionary or Evolutionary?” with speaker Dave Howden, Business Development at Red Dog Systems Inc. Thursday November 15, 2018  11:30-1:00pm at The Calgary Petroleum Club
