The Canadian oil and gas industry is in a great spot entering 2024. Commodity prices remain firm, company debt levels are low, LNG projects are being built, and the Trans Mountain oil pipeline expansion draws nearer to completion. These expanding infrastructure options are poised to begin allowing our ethically sourced oil and gas to enter new markets overseas over the coming years.
Now’s the perfect time to have your message heard and get ahead of your competitors as 2024 budgets are being set. Contact our advertising department today!
While the industry continues to adopt new technologies that allow it to handle data better or drill faster, it has also recognized the need to advertise online. Decision makers aren’t always working down the street anymore, and gone are the days of advertising in magazines and newsletters.
Through the many ups and downs over the last 11 years, the BOE Report has remained the trusted go-to source for news, commodity prices, information and data. Many E&P and service companies use the site every day to stay in the loop with what is happening in the industry.
This year was an exciting one for us as we were acquired by Stack Technologies Ltd. Since then we have worked hard to not only continue to be the best Canadian oil and gas news site around, but to improve on it. We introduced BOE Intel, a subscription based market intelligence software that has begun to see widespread industry interest and adoption. We were even asked to present this software at the Canadian Association of Land and Energy Professionals (CALEP) conference earlier this year. Contact us for a BOE Intel demo if you have not seen it yet. Through this software, we have also begun to introduce a series of BOE Intel focused articles that stem from the data and insight obtained from that software.
The results have been dramatic. We have seen 38% growth in page views from 2022 pre-acquisition levels (Figure 1 below), and 160% growth in ‘original content’ page views over the same timeframe (Figure 2 below), with those predominantly coming from the aforementioned BOE Intel articles, as well as the very well known Terry Etam.
We recognize that you as a reader have many places to get your news, and we appreciate that you’ve chosen to get it from us. Data from third party website analysis company Similar Web confirms that more people continue to choose the BOE Report over other sources. The BOE Report had nearly 4 times as many page views as its nearest competitor (July through September 2023 data) and maintained more than 63% market share in total visits compared to 2 of its well known competitors (Figure 3 below).
We would love to partner with you in 2024 and help you tell your story, as we look forward to an exciting year in Canadian energy.
Banner advertisements and sponsored announcements are available and are great tools to get your message out to the Canadian oil & gas industry.
