Oil and gas producer ConocoPhillips has signed an agreement to book capacity at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal in Belgium for 18 years, it said in a social media post on Tuesday, in a push to further its global portfolio.
Under the terms of the deal, the company will be able to import and regasify 0.75 million tonnes per annum of LNG for delivery in Belgium and throughout Europe from April 2027.
The company has also signed a long-term LNG sales and purchase agreement to supply the Asian market starting 2027.
“These agreements provide additional access to the European and Asian natural gas markets,” the company’s spokesperson Dennis Nuss wrote in an emailed response on Wednesday.
