The Alberta Government brought in $25.3 MM on its July 9th Crown land sale.
In total, 32,416 hectares were sold at an average price of $780.18/ha.

There were 2 areas of particular interest that drove the majority of the bonus in this land sale.
The first area was west of Grande Prairie (Figure 1). This area had the highest priced parcels on a $/area basis. Those high priced sales contained Montney rights.
The total bonus for this area was close to $6.7 MM.

The second area of particular interest was around Utikuma Lake in the broader Clearwater fairway (Figure 2). This land was not as richly priced as the Montney parcels, but a significantly larger amount of mineral rights transacted here. In total, 14,528 hectares were sold here, representing a total dollar bonus in the area of almost $13.5 MM.
