September 2, 20261:42 PM Reuters0 Comments

Apache oil well in the Permian Basin U.S. crude oil output and demand for crude oil and petroleum products rose in June, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in its Petroleum Supply Monthly report, which was delayed until Tuesday.

Crude output climbed to 13.79 million barrels per day (bpd) in June, up from 13.76 million bpd in May. The monthly record high was 14.00 million bpd in October 2025.

U.S. demand for crude oil and petroleum products rose to 20.74 million bpd in June, up from 20.07 million bpd in May. That compares with a monthly record high of 21.67 million bpd in August 2005, EIA said.

Meanwhile, U.S. gross natural gas production hit 135.5 billion cubic feet per day (bcfd) in June, up from 134.2 bcfd in May, but remained shy of the monthly record high of 136.0 bcfd in December 2025.

In top gas-producing states, output in June rose 1.3% to a record 39.2 bcfd in Texas, but fell 1.0% to 21.1 bcfd in Pennsylvania, the EIA said.

That compares with the prior all-time monthly high of 38.9 bcfd in April in Texas and the current all-time monthly high of 21.9 bcfd in December 2021 in Pennsylvania.
