CALGARY, AB, Nov. 5, 2026 /CNW/ — Pason Systems Inc. (“Pason”) (TSX: PSI) announces the appointment of Sean Makins and Ted Bursey to its board of directors, effective November 5, 2026. The appointments expand Pason’s board by two directors. Both Mr. Makins and Mr. Bursey are members of the investment team at Birch Hill Equity Partners, which, through its affiliated funds, is Pason’s largest shareholder.
Mr. Makins joined Birch Hill in 2013 and currently serves on the boards of directors of Park Lawn Corporation, Harbour Air and Cozzini Bros. At Birch Hill, he has been involved in numerous M&A and capital market transactions and played a leading role in the development of Birch Hill’s Data Science Group. Prior to joining Birch Hill, Sean was in the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan, advising on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions in the energy sector.
Mr. Bursey joined Birch Hill in 2023 and sits on the boards of directors of Redwood Infrastructure and FlexNetworks. His work with Birch Hill’s portfolio companies includes strategy, capital allocation, financing and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Birch Hill, Mr. Bursey was a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where he advised Canadian and U.S. public companies on corporate strategy, performance improvement and transformation.
