VIRDEN, Man. – A worker has been killed at an oilwell work site in Manitoba.
RCMP say a crew was working at the site in the Rural Municipality of Pipestone on Tuesday when a worker was struck by the weight arm of a pump jack.
The 20-year-old from Wapella, Sask., was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health is assisting with the investigation.
The name of the worker is not being released.
