Labour Day promotion offers savings on every gas purchase
TORONTO, Sept 2, 2015 /CNW/ – Just in time for last minute weekend travel plans and dorm room moves, Discount Car and Truck Rentals is giving away fuel savings cards valued at 5 cents per litre for up to 50 litres purchased from Petro-Canada, a Suncor business.
Representatives from Discount Car and Truck Rentals will be on site at select Petro Canada retail locations in Calgary and Ottawa on September 3, 2015, handing out fuel savings cards for the long weekend promotion.
“The Labour Day weekend is the last real weekend of summer vacation and also the time for final back-to-school preparation. We are pleased to bring extra value to our customers in Ottawa and Calgary to ease travel costs, whether it's for that last summer weekend road trip or moving back to school,” said Jay Singer, President and CEO of Discount Car and Truck Rentals.
Discount is excited to invite Canadians to enter the #CountOnDiscount contest, which will run via Twitter and Facebook this Labour Day. Consumers are encouraged to post, share and retweet the hashtag or post an in-store selfie with the same hashtag for a chance to win a long weekend vacation package valued at over $1,000. The winner will be announced on Discount's Twitter and Facebook page after Labour Day.
Discount Car and Truck Rentals' customers can also earn and redeem Petro-Points with any car or truck rental made at nearly 300 participating Discount Car and Truck Rentals locations across Canada (excluding New Brunswick and Newfoundland). By presenting their Petro-Points card Discount customers will collect 10 points for every $1 spent on vehicle rentals. From August 25th through November 2nd, customers can redeem 10,000 points for $10 off their vehicle rental. Petro-Points members will also benefit from Discount's free drop off and pick-up service – one of the pillars of Discount's exceptional customer service commitment.
